UPDATE |

More details have been released regarding Sunday morning's house fire in Central City.

According to Central City Fire Department chief Dale Russian, the original call was about three people trapped inside of a home.

Russian said that, by the time crews arrived on scene, two people had escaped the home.

He also stated that crews couldn't locate the third person until after fire was put out because of “the sheer volume of the fire”, and that they were found lying on the ground on the first floor.

He said that the operation was made more difficult due to weather conditions and that water was starting to turn to ice as it was going through the hose.

Russian stated that no firefighters were injured but two dogs had also died in the blaze.
