JOHNSTOWN - Ferndale police have arrested a man in connection to a series of robberies.

Police were notified a person matching the robbery suspect’s identity was walking down the street on Thursday evening.

That’s when Ferndale police apprehended Leonard Louchart.

East Taylor Township believed Louchart robbed the Martin General store on William Penn Avenue on Tuesday.

Johnstown police said they believe he also robbed the Subway restaurant in Johnstown and the Family Dollar store on Wednesday night.

Ferndale officers said Louchart confessed to all three robberies.

Louchart was turned over the Johnstown Police Department and is being held at the Cambria County Prison.
